Bila Bila Liverpool

Scott Facial Tissues. Soft, good absorbents. Just in case you're wondering why I mentioned tissue papers of all things, ponder no more. It's for tears. Both agony and joy. Agony for the suckers who lost 2-1 and joy for the ones who owned them. Just in case it's been a long time since I said this,

BILA BILA LIVERPOOL!

Robbed In Style

Rob Styles. The man who robbed Liverpool in style. I seriously think I need to slap the great nut who employed this 'definition of the word cock eye'. I've never seen a referee flash his yellow card to the same player twice and still allow him to play. A shameful amount of yellow cards thrown during the match. Some worthy. Some seriously uncalled for. Where in the world did that penalty come from when even the Chelsea players didn't claim for it? I seriously don't wish to see him referee any more matches. A very disheartening result for any Liverpool fan and a splendid result for any Chelsea fan.

Liverpool Vs Chelsea

Yes indeed. May the best team win. It's good to watch matches like this earlier in the year. Enables you to see who's ready to fight for the title. If you're one who bets, take note of the odds singapore pools is offering. This was the last thing I saw before I blogged and since I don't believe in the score going anything above three goals, I've stopped with 3 goals.

1X2
Liverpool: 2.35
Draw: 2.95
Chelsea: 2.75

1/2 Goal
Liverpool -1.5 : 4.65
Chelsea +1.5: 1.13

Total Goals
0 Goal: 6.50
1 Goal: 3.80
2 Goal: 3.20
3 Goal: 3.90

Pick The Score [Liverpool Win]
1-0: 6.50
2-0: 9.50
2-1: 8.00
3-0: 23.00

Pick The Score [Chelsea Win]
0-1: 7.50
0-2: 12.00
1-2: 10.00
0-3: 35.00

Pick The Score [Draw]
0-0: 6.50
1-1: 6.00
2-2: 14.00

Now the question running through my mind is this: How often do we see liverpool giving away balls? Ususally it's the case of chelsea giving away one and a half ball and liverpool eating one and a half ball. Where this sudden outburst of confidence in liverpool came from? Or is there a sudden doubt in chelsea's performance? I don't doubt Chelsea. I still see them as a big threat to the title. They're a solid team if you look in terms of stats. Whatever the case, may the best team gleam. Adios.

Champion's League Final 06'

You mean that team that lost 1-0 in the first leg of the Champion's League is in the finals? That team which everyone wrote off actually rewrote history? That team which people said Chelsea will beat instead beat Chelsea and got to the final? That team which 2 years ago beat AC Milan being down from a 3 goal deposit? That team which even eliminated the current champions Barcelona this year?

That's why I say, don't count the chickens before the eggs hatch. I have a list of people to return a favour as soon as I wake up from my sleep later. One, I owe a little more. Why, you may ask? Cause my dear Ian John forgot Champion's League Semi-Finals were played home and away. This was after the first leg which Liverpool lost 1-0.

Ian: LIVERPOOL SUCKS. FUCK LIVERPOOL. ERASE THE FUCKING ENTRY FROM YOUR BLOG LOSER! Hahahaahahhaahahahahhahahahahahha. Whatever you all wanna think la k. You guys already lost to Chelsea. Better quit soccer. Seriously.
Me: *Calmly* Not good to count the chickens before the eggs hatch.
Ian: Go do research about the past okay. Cause seriously, that's all Liverpool fans ever do. Always talk about the past. But the present....Oh well. We'll continue this man.
Me: Right after the second leg.

Yes indeed. Ian was right. I'll continue when I see him later today. I'll have alot to continue. And oh yes, just before I hit the sack, cuddling my bolster in my warm soothing room with a filled convinced heart, let's do the usual rituals. This one's for you Navan! I do reckon a number 6 at athens. Adios.

Liverpool Vs Chelsea

Liverpool's European Statistics

Liverpool's Overall European Record: Played 271. Won 155. Drawn 58. Lost 58.

Liverpool's record in European Cup: Played 140. Won 83. Drawn 29. Lost 28.

This is Liverpool's 14th European Semi Final and their 8th in this competition.

This will be the fifth meeting of the sides in Europe and Luis Garcia, in the Semi-Final second leg in 2005, is the only player to score.

Of the men that played at Stamford Bridge at this stage two seasons ago, Igor Biscan, Djimi Traore, Milan Baros, Djibril Cisse and Vladimir Smicer are no longer playing at Anfield while Chelsea won’t be calling on Glen Johnson, William Gallas, Tiago Mendes, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Mateja Kezman.

The Reds have won 25 games in the European Cup since Rafa Benitez took charge, losing just eight of the 41 games.

The Reds' biggest away win in the Champions League (excluding qualifiers) came in the last round when they won 3-0 at PSV.

Liverpool have lost just two of their last 16 away games in Europe, both by a single goal margin - 1-0 at Benfica in February 2006 and 3-2 at Galatasaray on Matchday 6 last December.

Jamie Carragher will equal Ian Callaghan's club record of 89 European appearances if he takes the field in this game. He was an unused substitute against PSV at Anfield two weeks ago.

Steven Gerrard is the club's third highest scorer in Europe with 19 goals and only Michael Owen (22) and Ian Rush (20) have scored more.

If Peter Crouch scores again in the Champions League during this campaign he will break the club record for most goals scored in a European Cup season. He has seven, the same tally achieved by Roger Hunt (1964/65) and Steven Gerrard (2005/06).

Bolo Zenden could feature against a former club for the third successive round. He played for Barcelona and PSV before playing for Chelsea between from 2001-03. He scored four times for the Londoners in 59 games in all competitions.

Should he be involved in this game Sami Hyypia could make his 400th appearance for the Reds.

Jermaine Pennant's only goal for the Reds so far came against Chelsea at Anfield in January.

Liverpool have scored 15 hat-tricks in Europe down the years with the last coming in July 2005 when Steven Gerrard scored three against TNS at Anfield.

Only nine Liverpool players have been sent off in the club’s illustrious history. The last was Igor Biscan in Marseille in March 2004.

Since Arsenal scored six at Anfield in the Carling Cup in January Liverpool have conceded just eight goals in 17 games and kept clean sheets in their last four games.

Rafa Benitez's press conference statement

The Reds squad will fly down to London later today ahead of Wednesday's tie and Benitez admits confidence in the camp is high.

"Our idea is to win if possible. Sometimes you have to play counter-attack and sometimes press high, it depends on the situation. But it would be good to score a goal and come away with the win. This is a very good positive situation for us and you have to approach games like this with confidence. We know them, they know us, that is clear and at the end of the day it could be just the small details that make the difference. Chelsea have been champions in this country for the last two years and they are a very strong side, especially at home. Maybe they are a better side than two years ago but we also have more experience now and I think we can do it. I can tell you the players are as hungry for success now as they were two years ago."

Don't miss it for anything in the world. Chelsea Vs Liverpool tonight. Kickoff at 2.45am. Adios.

The Love For The Team

Guess who made it to the quarter finals of the champions league?
Guess who knocked the giants, Barcelona, out of the title race?
Guess who is sending a warning to the rest of Europe?

I would now like to take this opportunity to ask:

BILA BILA SIAPA TADA KALAH??

The War Has Begun

[The war has begun. Tonight @ 8pm. ESPN channel 23. Don't miss it for anythin' else in the world]

Just in case you're pondering over the word war, it ain't entirely about the war between Manchester United and Liverpool. It's about the war between my mum and her die hard liverpool fan of a son-me. Thing is, my mum is a Man United fan. The rest of us at home are dedicated Liverpool fans. Everytime there's a match between United and Liverpool, she makes it a point to sit in front of the TV and irritate us. When it comes to this, I is usually on the quiet side. Even when she mocks me, I is usually quiet and hardly react to her comments. But tonight is not gonna be one such taunting night. I is gonna meet up with all my friends tonight to watch the Liverpool game. [Though I am the only Liverpool fan there] Let's see what unfolds. And to all my dear Liverpool faithfuls, we'll wait till the final whistle. Victory will be ours.

And just before I take my leave, I'll leave you with the AntiVBrigade's 'Tale of the two cities'. Worthy of the read.

Click here for part 1 and here for part two. Adios.

Predict The Score

Just the night before the Liverpool and Barcelona match, a boyfriend calls up his girlfriend. Both of which are my friends. The girlfriend, a Liverpool fan. The boyfriend, a Manchester United fan. The rest, as explained:

He: Hey, who will win today?

She: *Sleepily* Liverpool 2 Barcelona 1.

He: No way. Please la. Put down the phone. Liverpool will lose today.

The following morning, she wakes up to see a SMS from her boyfriend which went like this:

"Liverpool 2 Barcelona 1. Don't call me today. I'm gonna mourn the whole day."

[My dear friend, when you predicted that score, didn't anything tell you to drag your ass to the nearest Singapore Pools and throw in a $10 bet which would have earned you a near $60++ returns?]

Liverpool 4 Life

When it boils down to a Liverpool match, I let go the anjadi tendency in me. So bear with me when I say:

BILA BILA LIVERPOOL!!!

See, it doesn't affect me when you tell me Liverpool sucks. Coz that's your choice if you like them and also coz I don't give a fuck to what you have to say either. Whether you like em' or not, bottom line is, I love em'. So if you're a liverpool fan, it's time to stand up and scream with me. And by the way, if you're watching a soccer match, never send SMSes before the match ends. It's only gonna embarrass you. Like this:

After Deco scored: Saw that goal not deh? Liverpool will get thrashed today da. Wait and see. Barca for life la. Ronaldinho will put one in next la.
After Bellemy's equaliser: Tyco deh liverpool. The ball haven't crossed the line deh. Tyco bastards. Liverpool sucks la.
After Riise scored: I cannot believe it deh.

The moral of the story? Don't count your chickens before the eggs hatch. Adios.

Property Of Rough Rhymes

Praba.
20 This Year.
Cursed to be here.
First to be clear.

You won't understand till we trade places.
I need my own breathing spaces.

See, my life ain't promised.
But it'll sure get better.
Hope you undastan my love letter.

I dropped 5 times but I'm still breathin'.
Livin' proof there's a god if you need a reason.

I think about it everyday.
I haf so much to say.
My main thing was to be major paid.
This game's sharper than a muthafuckin' razor blade.

I wanna be meaningful.
Not winnin' fools.
I followed fools.
Swallowed rules.
Now I'm starting to trip.
I'm losing my grip.

Many were impressed when they saw praba writin'.
Now wait for him to start fightin'
